What to Expect
Therapy with me is a collaborative, individualized process that honors your unique experiences and goals. I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities—including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and talk therapy—to create a tailored approach that meets you where you are in your healing journey.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to helping clients cultivate self-compassion, radical acceptance, and curiosity—toward themselves, others, and their life experiences. Here's a closer look at the modalities I often integrate:
-
We are made up of many different "parts" that each play a role in how we think, feel, and behave. Some parts may feel wounded, neglected, or overly dominant, while others are protective or vulnerable. IFS helps you understand and connect with these parts, fostering internal balance, deeper self-awareness, and lasting emotional healing.
-
EMDR is a powerful modality for processing trauma and distressing life events. When trauma occurs, the brain can become overwhelmed, leaving certain memories "stuck" in the nervous system. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—through eye movements or tapping—to help reprocess and release these memories.
For those looking to accelerate their healing, I also offer EMDR Intensives: focused 1, 2, or 3-day sessions designed to create meaningful progress in a condensed timeframe. -
Our earliest relationships shape the way we connect with others—and ourselves. Attachment theory explores how these early patterns may still influence your current relationships, emotional responses, and ability to trust or feel safe. This lens can be incredibly healing when working through intimacy issues, relational anxiety, or patterns of disconnection.
-
Being fully present allows us to notice our thoughts, habits, and emotional responses without judgment. Mindfulness helps you approach your inner world with curiosity rather than criticism. This practice supports greater emotional regulation, less reactivity, and a stronger connection to your values and sense of self—especially in difficult moments.
-
DBT is a skills-based approach that blends acceptance with change. It helps clients build a life worth living through four core areas:
Mindfulness
Distress Tolerance
Emotional Regulation
Interpersonal Effectiveness
By learning and applying these skills, you’ll be better equipped to navigate emotional storms, communicate more effectively, and manage overwhelming experiences with greater ease.
Healing looks different for everyone, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, we’ll work together to find a path forward that feels right for you.

Who I Work With
Adult Psychotherapy
Do you feel disconnected from yourself and others? Depressed? Anxious? You are not alone. With my counseling clients, I believe in looking at the entire picture of one’s life. The therapeutic relationship is a sacred space to explore the darkest depths and wonders of life in a collaborative process between therapist and client. I utilize a mix of talk-therapy, mindfulness, parts-work, EMDR and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to create a well-rounded and compassionate approach to healing.
Teen & Young Adult Psychotherapy
The world we inhabit is a confusing and difficult place. Between the academic and social pressures, the impending climate crisis and the self-harm and suicide epidemic amongst young people; teens and young adults face an unknown and terrifying future. I believe that it is crucial to equip young people with the proper skills, tools and confidence to help them better manage distressing and potentially life-threatening situations. I use a mix of talk-therapy, DBT and strength-based counseling to help clients pin-point what is going well in their lives and worth living for, and what they desire to change in their lives and how we reach that change, together.
I also offer family therapy sessions in order to help families improve communication, how they relate to each other and find deeper understanding for familial patterns that could be informing current issues. Certain situations require the entire family unit to be on the same page and I believe that this continuity is important in order to see real, lasting changes outside of weekly therapy sessions .
Couples Counseling
Whether you are in a new couple or have been together for years, couples counseling is a wonderful way to strengthen, better understand and shift the relationship dynamic. It can be helpful to have an intentional space to discuss difficult topics or situations while having the neutral support of a therapist. I am passionate about helping couples that I work with improve communication between one another, find deeper compassion for each other’s experience and overall feel more connected to themselves and the relationship. Relationships can bring some of the greatest joy that we experience in life and they can also be the cause of tremendous pain. Being in relationship is an opportunity to learn more about our patterns, our past and how we relate to ourselves and others.
