Meet Izzy
MA, LPCC
Hi, I’m Izzy Hodess
(She/Her)
I believe that, as children, we make sense of a complex world by forming beliefs about who we are and what’s available to us. These beliefs become ingrained and shape our thoughts, feelings, and behavior.
In therapy, I aim to create a compassionate, supportive space where you can explore your experience and uncover the unconscious roots of your patterns. I use mindful somatic (body-based) therapy to gently guide you to notice your natural impulses, trusting your innate wisdom to support healing. As your co-pilot, we’ll welcome your emotions, identify your needs, and help you reconnect with yourself to create meaningful, lasting change.
For couples, I utilize the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), which combines neuroscience, nervous system regulation, and attachment theory to strengthen connections and build secure, loving relationships. I am committed to supporting your unique individuality as a relationship, including your goals, limits, agreements, and configuration. I work with all kinds of romantic relationships including LGBTQ+, non-monogamous, and non-traditional relationships.
More About Izzy:
My path to becoming a therapist began with my own search for healing. After years of suffering, entering somatic psychotherapy marked a turning point in my life. It helped me to recognize the value in my inner world and taught me to embrace my emotions with compassion and curiosity. This shift transformed how I relate to myself, bringing enduring peace, deeper connection, and a sense of purpose— even in the face of life’s challenges.
The profound healing I have found through therapy inspires my passion for helping others on their journeys. It’s an honor to witness my clients discover their capacity to meet life more fully.
